To give credit and thanks where it's due, the Smog man (Philip) inspired me to Yelp!! Seriously, I'd only been reading reviews up until my visit here. I had doubts about not passing a smog check at a nearby Gold Shield Station earlier on knowing that I had kept up with routine car maintenance, and I am SO HAPPY I came here for a second opinion! I was upfront about what happened and Philip was just awesome about it. My car passed all stages of the smog test without a hitch and without unnecessary repairs, as the first shop suggested. Smog Man said to me that cars have quirks just like people, and his knowledge about mine made the difference! I left with insight in to my car and the personality of its engine which I'm glad to know about. Philip knows his stuff and is an honest and interesting guy. I enjoyed a few relaxing moments and some good conversation during my visit, which turned out to be a pleasure. I will of course come back and I highly recommend you pay a visit too - for $58 with an online coupon you know a good job is being done by a business, owner and operator that you want to go to and support.
