I have to agree with the other reviews. I was in and out in 10 minutes and the gentleman there was polite, courteous and quick. Certainly, the easiest smog check I've had.

Roll in without an appointment on Saturday afternoon. No wait time to get started. Prompt, courteous, friendly service. Ran the car through which takes all of 5 mins as you've read. S.M. backed the car out put it nose forward, ready to bolt. Price is as advertised, internet coupon accepted. Everyone's happy. Grand total $58... hope the State of CA enjoys it. Todays smog test took less than 5 mins. No need to sit down and wait. Handed my coupon, paid $58. Cheaper than the other guy I was going to. Plus this location is very convenient. My husband was planning to steal the Smog Man's car, a beautiful Chevelle SS (or was it a Nova). Crap, I suck at my old school cars, lol. But the waiting time was nonexistent so the hubby didn't have a chance. The Smog Man is a very nice and cool fella. I would definitely recommend this place.

Pulled up, handed him the coupon and sat down to enjoy my coffee and read a magazine. A few minutes later, the car was finished (passed with flying colors, thank you very much), paid and I was on my way. As nice as the Smog Man is, let's face it, who wants to hang around a smog test station on a beautiful September afternoon. Quick and easy. I'll be back.

I hit traffic on the way to the Smog Man so although I arrived 20 minutes before closing without an appointment, it was nice that I wasn't turned away. I handed the gentleman behind the counter the $20 coupon (bayareapeakperformance.c…), and away he went to test my car. The waiting room was impeccable with an interesting variety of magazines (La Cucina Italiana? Impressivo), but as reviews have mentioned the test was done in a few minutes so I was back at the counter to retrieve my car. As mentioned the shop is located at a corner and one can enter at either of the two entrances marked off with placard signs. The shop is very clean and with no drama, one can have the whole procedure done very quickly and painlessly.

There is now a sandwich board out on Azurais to help you find the driveway into The Smog Man. Great experience, in and out in record time.I And here I was, in the middle of an interesting article in the copy of Scientific American in the waiting room... No complaints, though.) It was the best smogging experience I've ever had, and the discount coupon was great.
