I have high standards when it comes to customer service and professionalism. I expect whomever I deal with to know their job and give it their very best. (This standard applies to me also) So for me to write a review on Yelp, I have to be either very impressed or very disappointed. That being said, I went to the Smog Man based on the reviews I found on Yelp and I was not disappointed. Star #1 is for how many times the phone rang before it was answered. In this day of menu trees, frustration and never dealing with a human, it was nice to have the phone answered after a couple of rings and to be able to speak to a real person. Star #2 is for professionalism. Phillip is courteous and knowledgeable both on the phone and in person. Star # 3 is for cleanliness. The shop, the waiting room, and the bathroom are immaculate. (Including his vintage car and motorcycle) Star # 4 is for delivering the goods. Even with one person ahead of me there was very little wait time. No hidden charges - using the $20 coupon, the total was $58 includidng the smog certificate. Star # 5 is for honesty. When taking off my gas cap Phillip accidently dropped it on the floor and a little piece broke off. I didn't see him drop it and I certainly would not have known until I put gas in my car. Phillip informed me of breakage, provided a new cap and asked me if I wanted to keep the broken one as a spare. Fast, efficient, knowledgeable, professional, and honest. Very hard to find nowadays. The Smog Man will be the place I refer all my family, friends and clients.
